Hello all,

Found this forum by trying to find more information on official colour scheme.

Recently purchased a SC box and a bunch of 2nd hand skinks (currently sitting in stripping liquid)

Looking for a complete guide on painting the same theme that is on the box (I don't have the actual box)

Really loving the bright blue with red contrast on the shields and green dinosaurs (sorry I have 0 AoS knowledge)

GW paints preferrd as I have easy access to them - also quite knowledge with airbrushes.

Looked at GW painting app, which is great but it only talks about Saurus warrior but not it's skin. They do have colour scheme for blue horrors skin but looks a tad different.

Any advice would be great .

I dont use GW colors but I think it could be Caledor Sky, shaded with Drakenhof Nightshade, layered with Teclis Blue and then highlighted with Lothern Blue.

For the darker parts you can shade with Nuln Oil.
 
I think mine although a bit lighter is pretty much spot on on the official colour scheme.

Mine is as follows :

- Basecoat of Baharroth Blue
- Wash with 4:1 mix of Temple Guard Blue and Lahmian Medium
- Wash with 2:1 mix of Coelia Greenshade and Lahmian Medium
- Reapply Baharroth Blue in the raised areas

Then I just Highlight using Ulthuan Grey as glazes but if you want a colour more similar to the box I would go for a final Highlight of Blue Horror Instead.

Another example whith better light:

Scales are done by just applying a wash of 3:1 Kantor Blue and Lahmian Medium over them, job done. If you want to take it further just dot Highlight the corners of each scale with Blue Horror.

That looks spot on. I think it is the same as the armour on the Swooping Hawk in the citadel app. Will try and lay down some colours
