AoS NEW Skink Heroes at the Compendium published !!!

Bit of a dick move from GW, they could have made themselves a few pennies by creating new models for these warscrolls.

To be honest, it does make sense in a way. I would hate not being able to play an army as a new player because I couldn't find the models. But Dispossessed are still rolling. And now it is like they are heroless almost. Waiting for new releases there because I really think they won't let go a faction that sells lot

Now we will house rule it, lots of plagers with compendium units in our group.

Doesnt matter rly once u got em just say to the player he is that seraphon model i dont think any player will mind

GW strikes back... (like Cruddace in his time...)
I can understand the logic behind this, but for only 4 models (with relatively a very small impact in the meta), they break a lot of list.
For one model (skink chief) those changes breaks my list...
I'd like to play a Seraphon list, not an "Order" list because some rules says their not scaly enough to be part of the party.

I hope for a update, but not sure it will be there. Let's wait a month or two.

Turns out that everything that new players couldn't buy, is being pushed away. All the rest is fine though

It's not bad to remove old stuff by making them useless.
For Seraphon it's not a big deal but for other armies it can be annoying.

I hope this is a dawn for updates in the Seraphon army style, to be more AOS-like, but it seems that is not for today.
I can't wait to see some new skinks heroes with some new abilities and artefacts... but i guess skinks are not that popular...

To be honest I am actually pretty happy with many of the changes for compendium units, especially concerning the fact that many many models were out of production and no good substitutes available. TK and Brettonia are the most extreme examples I guess.

Our Skink Chief is actually a bad example because it was so easy to kitbash from GW parts, everyone could do it, so even new players (like me) could easily play one.
That being said: With Skinks now much cheaper I kiiiiinda see how his command ability was potentially gamebreaking. He would have been a good General for a Skink army though, because it was the only Skink hero with a Command ability. Now we have none, so we will see only Slann or Saurus as generals, or have to take Inspiring Presence, which is mediocre since we have a good bravery anway.

Heinrich Kemmler and the Liche Priest....well... to be honest I miss them although I played them only once. I had some lists in mind that would really have profited from them. Not completely understandable for Heinrich as well, because his model is actually still available...

Well i believe the reason they removed the old units is maaybe to replace them with newer ones who knows maybe a skinklord? Or a saurus-slann who commads skinks? Something seraphon lore wise

Yeah also as a nee player and due i live in greece it was near impossible for me to find a skink chief or any of those old models but who knows maybe they plan on re-reals8ng then with newer models or modela with kind of same abillities

A friend of mine that goes hard lore wise was 200% happy with the changes and the disappearance of named characters. He went like : "X disappeared from the compediums ? " Well of couse he did, he has died THOUSANDS of years ago, what the hell was he doing in the 1st place in Age of Sigmar ? " and made me feel better haha

True dat cause u gotta consider the fact seraphon armys are creatures of memories made by azyr that why they are considered deamons of order[/QUOTE]
Maybe I should have been more precise: I will miss having the option to use units with those abilities. I don't even know who Heinrich Kemmler is.

Yeah, and Lore wise:
AoS explicitly allows recreating battles from the world that was, so that's another reason to keep the compendium units.
...but that is for story play and you can play that any way you want anyway, regardless of rules and points.

Idd so u can always play with older models with the new rules if the enemy player is ok with it

I created some replacement warscrolls for Skink Chiefs and Tehenhauin, if anybody's interested.

I like those Warscrolls But what would they cost? The bloodpriest spell is pretty powerfull (dwellers below had 6+ right?)
