Hi all

Looking at getting back into Warhammer after about a 12 year break and the Lizardman are very tempting.

I have the ability to pick up 2 Battalion boxes quite cheap and was thinking of an Oldblood on foot and cold one for characters. This will use all my hobby budget for a while.

I am a fan of Saurus's so like what the Battalion boxes provide but is two of them going to provide a good enough army. I will only be playing friendly games mostly ranging from 600 - 1500 pts with the occasional 2000 pts.

While it would be awhile before I could afford it the Carnosaur is such a nice model and would like to get one but is it a good option to expand on the 2 battalion boxes or would some different units be a better choice.

Welcome to the forum!

In you place, I would get the 2 batallions, then buy an old blood (on foot). I would convert one of the Cold one cavalry that come in the batallion into a mounted hero. I would also get a skink priest.

From that, you should be set for a while (as your budget heals).
