Some more excellent examples of your craft, my friend! You really are a Woodcraft Jedi Master Sith Lord! Though I'm surprised you haven't tried woodcutting a Chaos Dwarf yet... Hashut demands your allegiance in all things
Thank you! Hashut demands greater skills from his patrons, I must painstakingly ascend to that level!
For @Mrs. NIGHTBRINGER 's birthday, one of the presents I gave her is this feather holder I made. She had planned to make some sort of holder for these feathers years ago, but had never gotten around to it. So I thought I would create one for her. This piece is made from walnut and features a leopard wood accent running along the center. And now with the feathers...
Really nice work! You've lined up the pieces perfectly. Great looking feathers by the way. What bird are they from? Grrr, !mrahil
Thank you! It took a bit of work, but I'm happy I was able to get such a nice alignment between the front and back pieces. I believe the feathers are from a grouse/partridge. Turkey feathers would be much, much bigger.
Yeah, with nothing else in the picture, it's tough to determine scale. For reference, the top and back layers of wood are just shy of 1/4" thick.
I also made @Mrs. NIGHTBRINGER a decorative box in which I put some Hersey's Kisses and tickets to go see Cirque du Soleil! The box is made from walnut, maple and leopard wood.
