Very nice, Blood Bowl minis always look great with the cartoony-style basing scheme. I like how the painting style you used made them look cartoony too, especially the little scratches drawn out on them.
Thanks yes comic/ cartoon style really fits great for Blood Bowl, because the Style is like the game and the "lore" .... It doesn't take itself serious. That what i like the the most at it. Yesterday I nearly finished my Treeman for my Halfling team. Only the base rims are missing. They were the last of my tribe concept minis. 52 Minis total were I can build 4 different teams from. The trees were the most ... Challenge. So much lovely details and I wasn't sure if I could paint them the way they deserve. But I think they came out pretty good
Thanks guys! The thing is I really notice I'm becoming better in painting! I trust myself to paint even more difficult minis. Anyway... I showed you some pictures of a board game I painted for friend. After I gave the fully painted game back to him, he asked me how much I want for the paint job. I said I want nothing because I like painting and did it for fun. I just wanted a report how the other players reacted when he played with him this game. Few weeks later he reported me and said that he was very astonished on how different the game filling was Since I still refused to take any money, he brought me a board game. He knew I like Marvel, mini painting and comic style! So he got me Marvel United. today I started painting the Minis. Now the question! I haven't washed him jet! Should I? And should I do black lining on him to make him more Comic looking? BECAUSE I LIKE HIM SO MUCH THE WAY HE LOOKS NOW AND I AFFRAID I'M GOING TO MESS HIM UP! So leap of faith and go on and hope he becomes even better? or Keep him that way? I really don't know!
I've never done black lining on mini, but I would say that if you really want to do it and you are not sure, take a couple of photos, print them and do lining on those to see approximate result. Also, don't worry, you'll do fine.
I haven't tried anything more than the simplest black lining before... I would also be afraid to try it on that mini... but he does look good! I doubt you will mess it up, at the end of the day even if I mess something up I use it as an opportunity to learn.
Allright made a leap. After wash I was bit like....mmmh but after starting black lining its ... Ok. Shouldn't have washed him or used brighter green
I think that is a good, at this point do highlights next to bring the flat parts back up to a solid green or purple color.
Haven't gone on with the Marvel minis. Not because I dislike them , more because .... Don't know wanted to paint other minis. But I finished red skull and Captain America But I started with a big Lizard just because I like the Model.
I just saw I didn't posted a finished pic of the big Guy I started working on a more or less new team to build out of my Lady Team. Last week I ordered some new players for a Human team and realised that I need a apothecary too. So I thought a dwarf would be cool. So.... Not finished yet but I like him so far.
The board game of my friend got three new expansions. Today I finished the first one: The Gods of Asgard
