New year, who dis?!?! I thought I would start this year off with the display case I got over Christmas! I’m happy to do a full tutorial if anyone wants. it’s not too hard! Also, i have made a lot of progress on a big conversion I’ve wanted to do with the Slaves of Darkness guy in the big thing...uh I clearly know what it’s called. Here’s to another amazing year of modeling with you lovely people!!!!

Looking good!!

He’s Spikey enough to be part of the team.... perhaps hes a undercover lizard in the chaos world Dunn Dunn dunnnnnnn

:eek::eek: Who knows! I don’t make lore for my models: I just make them look cool lol

I think I’m going to add a few more lizardman stuff here and there before I prime and paint him. I wanted to get my display case up and running first so I might pick up that project again

How stable are the case?!! Need to secure it to the wall I’m guessing?

It comes with wall brackets, but I haven’t had any problems with it yet or needed the brackets. It’s called the Detolf from Ikea. I had to buy LED lights (5000k strip lights with dimmer from Amazon) and the extra shelves. No complaints about the build and I think it has a really clean look to the whole thing. I highly recommend the case. An all glass case makes viewing your models very easy from all angles

I have one of those as well (not used for models though). We have it standing near a wall but not attached to it either, I'd say it is reasonably stable.

I like this a lot!!
Nice touching up with all the Seraphon stuff.
IIRC you used a Blood Bowl Saurus as hero:cool: It fits great!

most creative of all is turning the Chaos sign on the ax into a constellation ;)

looking forward to see him painted

Gr, Imrahil

glad you noticed! I was staring at the axe, thinking how cool to would be to include it in the lizard man conversion, then I saw the lines and was like ‘WAIT! I can totally turn it into a constellation!”. I was thinking about running him as a scar vet on clod one, but honestly I haven’t played the game in over a year. I just want to make cool stuff :D

I have about 6 of the Ikea Deltof display cases. They are great. You can find you tube vids on how to add extra shelves, incorporate lighting and even how to dust proof them. Cheap enough and highly recommended.

I don't have a big enough collection to warrant more then one case lol

I have enough LEDs to light up another one.... but I actually plan on painting and selling those fire slayer dwarves. They are my brother's and he hasn't touched them in over 5 years. Also, I would like to sell the wanderers, but I'm not sure if there is a market for them. I'll probably hold onto them until Fantasy comes back

I’m always working on new conversions... this week’s model is a custom hero for myth Saurus Guard. I think the pose turned out really good!

I’ve added another bit of the pole sticking out of the left hand, but I don’t have any pictures of him in his current state. I will add some shoulder armor to hide the crimes in the greenstuff sculpt. I always thought the scare vet heads looked too big for regular Saurus models, so I gave this guy the feet from the dark elf cold ones to make him taller, and I added some width to the shoulders to make him look bigger. I might have to buff up his arms a bit too. They are looking. Quite skinny lol

c&c are always appreciated!

Nice idea to use the feet of a DE Cold one! Made him look more fearsome.

I see what you mean about the arm's, but I think his left arm is the appropriate size.
His right arm is a bit skinny, I recon this can also be fixed with armor plates.

Love his pose, eager for battle!

Very nice pose on that Saurus Guard. He looks like he’s just daring someone to come and fight him. The STD dino conversion looks great as well. I might have to steal that idea for myself. Wonder what you could run him as though.

I don't play the game much any more, but I was thinking about running him as a scar vet on cold one....but then I got him and realized the base is huge. I suppose you could put it on a bigger base and run it as a carno. I guess it really depends on who you are playing against and how much of a stickler they are for base sizes lol

Never played here but wouldn’t a bigger base make it worst for you and better for the opponent there for no one would mind?!! As they can pile in a lot more around it and you wouldn’t fit everywhere potentially?!?
