Hey guys,

I'm looking to expand my army a bit more. And I've found some nice models I like, and are cheaper than their GW counterparts. Our gaming group is fine with proxies or replacements, as long as it's clear what is what. So that's not going to be a problem.

Now, I've been looking mostly through the reaper miniatures, and I've found some interesting ones.
My favorite:
http://www.reapermini.com/graphics/gallery/4/14459_p_1_nm.jpg A coatl...I'll be using these as terradons.
I love these models, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy these no matter what*.

As for kroxigor...All I've come up with is:
http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Reptus/latest/14471
and
http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Reptus/latest/14187#detail/14187_SnakeChampion

They look ok, but are a bit smallish.

Now, my question to you guys:

Do you know any other sites that have lizardmen 'replacements'? Preferably cheaper, but it doesn't have to be.
Replacements for saurus, skinks, kroxigor, terradons, salamanders, stegadons...anything will do :)

Thanks for reading!

While im not into the whole "Cheap" department often, here are a few of my favorites.

I'v used one of the snake guys as a "Slann" and the huge crocodile as a stegadon myself.

The dragon humanoids might serve as kroxigors?

I highly recomend mierce on the whole, and they regularly bring out new stuff to complement their existing range. Currently they are building complete units of monsterous infantry, so if you want an entire (and expensive) unit of those snakes as kroxigors, you just need to hang around for a while.

A lot of people are down on Mierce because they are owned by the guy who ran the new defunct Maelstrom Games (which ran a huge sale, took orders and money, and then shutdown).

Regardless, Mierce's models are great looking.

Also there is Avatars of war and this guy: http://www.avatars-of-war.com/eng/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=756

Aye, i'v heard alot about that scandal, although having never used Malestrom myself, I did not experience it firsthand.

Having ordered from Mierce myself for years, i'v never had any issue with them at all. Allways found them very amendable, with good customer service, truly excellent minatures and with good delivery times. I currently own over a dozen Mierce minatures. Especially Beastmen players are very into Mierce because of the excellent range of minotaurs and other beastmen characters they produce.

Thanks a ton guys, helping me move forward!

The mierce-miniatures look amazing, but are on the expensive side. In fact, they are even more expensive...still they look interesting though!
There are some more sites I didn't know about, which is good. As it stands though, the reaper miniatures still have the best odds.
Anyway, more help is always welcome, making my decision harder :)

Loving the huge Mierce crocodile! Kinda want to get one and build a "howdah" on its back to look like a canoe. Theory being the beastie swims along just under the surface and looks like a boatload of skinks floating down the river.... and then the jaws music can begin...... Could also then "convert" one in the under water state with just the canoe and some water-effects to save money on a 2nd model!

@Stormfrog - How well does it fit on a steg-sized base? Any chance on a pic?

EDIT: just checked out Stormfrog's Plog (awesome stuff btw) and the crocs a bit big... New plan! Get one, mark the centre of the base where the "actual" model is and make a spare of the canoe-bases so if there's any major issues I can swap them around for a game. Either way it'll make a great centrepiece for an army!

Oh I almost forgot... gamezone miniatures
gamezoneminiatures.com
has some great Cold One/Carnasaur subsitutes.
(I think they are in with the dark elves)
