After painting and quickshading so many Lizzie models, I needed a break back to traditional painting and I took on some of my Dryads I had lying around and one of the LoTR Treeman I converted for my WE army. Just figured I would share something different.

Anyway, time to back to finishing the Legion!

Very nice! I especially like the treeman with the vine curling around its arm, with that creature hanging off.

Pretty cool, nice work!

I am going to move this thread to the painting forum for other races though. ;)

Lovin' the color choice for the trees. Nicely done!

Wow! Those are awesome. I really like the aspen dryads/ tree man.

What did you use for the tree man model?

That is the new plastic LoTR treeman with the top leaf bits from the Warhammer forest. The vine is just some wire with a string coating from a fake flower kit.

Woah That Birch bark pattern was an Excelent idea :D

The tree man conversion looks excellent! Love the color scheme as well, nice.

Thanks man. Those birch trees are everywhere here in Montreal, and especially on the drive down through NY state. That's what inspired me. I knew I didn't want to just do them as plain brown.

First time I've seen this excellent job, they paining/converting is very well done.

If you dont mind I am going to put up the Treeman pic on my blog!
Truly a masterpiece!!!
