Novembre/December painting competition: MONSTERS!

Only contestant so far. :)

I better get started. I may be over my head with this. Never done a conversion like this. And i need the head start. Haha. What date do i have to be done by?
 
December 15th (read the fine prints (not so fine :P) on the 1st page) is the date this competition ends.
 
SeBM, would a Treebeard model from LoTR be ok? I'm going to be using as a Treeman for my Wood Elves. If the package ever comes in that is.......
 
People need to stop asking questions and enter. It's due on the Dec 15. And it's not like it's a basic unit. It's monster time. Enter them stegs now or they aren't getting done on time!

My conversion is abourt 90% done. If it wasn't raining today I'd be primed. :)

I'm working with my conversion of my steg right now, gonna send in a pic today or tomorrow.
 
sculpting as fast as green stuff can be sculpted (one small piece a day) hopefully i'll be sending a pic next week!
 
Oh good. I think i got a little too ahead of myself. I snapped a photo of the model right out of the pack when i first got it, without even starting the conversion and submited it. haha.

Glad to see other people are doing some work for this too.
 
I edited the main post with the new list of contestants. If you want to take part in this painting competition, please send me a PM, even if you do not yet have pictures of the model you are gonna paint. I want to have the names of the contestants so I can edit the list.
 
Ok, I have entered with my EotG. Come on people, get into it! Even if you don't think you will get a model finished in time, this will work as motivation to at least get it started. Get all base colours done and you can still submit it at the deadline even if its not finished.
 
I am a slow painter myself, but we got a month left. People better start entering fast or they won't finish. It's monsters! I hope at least the five of us finish. I'd like to see at least five on the 15th.
 
I am resolved to working at least 30-60 minutes every day on mine, so I should be able to get finished. Converting done, base colours on howdah done, base colour on steg done, have now began the painful process of highlighting the steg scales. 5 layers of highlight for each scale...
 
I have no idea what kind of model that is since it's from 40k but if I remember well, Dreadnaughts would be ok.

I also added Iggy Koopa and myself to the list of contestants! While I'm pretty sure I won't win and highly doubt I will finish my entry, I'll give it a go nonetheless :D.

That is a nice list now. And I am happy to say I'm about 25% done painting.
 
Well, I've got about five or six unopened Kroxigors somewhere in my room. Give me a while to clean up my workspace, and I'll definitely put together an entry!
