7th Ed. Nurgle Spell list, last spell on the list

Alright, ran into this problem during a GW run scenario: Beastmen Shaman cast the last spell on the Nurgle spell list, which I think is Pestilence, on a unit of Bretonian knights. The spell went off and is treated like a Remains in Play spell in that the spell stays until dispelled, but otherwise isn't a Remains in Play spell....now, the question, or problem I have is that I rolled a miscast with my Skink Priest and rolled the result that hits my guy with a single hit and ends all Remains in Play spells as well as removing any stored dice for that turn. The GW staff member (who was playing the Brets since the person had to leave) said that the miscast result doesn't end the Pestilence spell, was he right?

Yeah it isn't explicitely a remain in play spell, so it cannot be dispelled by that miscast result unfortunately, and you managed to come across a rare red shirt who knew what he was talking about, consider yourself blessed!

Thanks for helping to clear that up! And the red shirts at the store I go to are pretty good with their knowledge...though this guy was new to the store (not the hobby) and kept getting the BS of Dwarf handgunners wrong

Well I never remember statlines, even for my own armies so that isn't such a problem. You are lucky, GW staff are usually notorious for not knowing the rules of the games very well and making dodgy decisions.

Oh, I've experienced some of that...one being they made a kid, and I do mean kid...like 14-16...made the kid roll D6 strength 5 hits on his one elite unit for breaking one of the scenery pieces.

Not quite what you mean, I know, but its late and I'm more than a bit tired, so I can't think of other examples. In any case, thanks for the quick response to my question.

That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard of. Total abuse of power and should be punished for that awkward decision if it at all originated from malice.

Kind of had to be there. These kids apparently have a reputation of getting a little too rambunctious (wow, spell check says I got the spelling right on that one!). It was good natured and amusing, and while the kid who had to take the hits didn't like it, it wasn't out of malice, more out of "easy with the store's equipment."
And, as I said, the kid broke some stuff on the table, a permanent scenery piece...so I think its fair enough.

This is the kid who doesn't know what personal space is and will stand over or next to you so close that it almost feels like he's trying to touch you but remaining juuuuust out of contact. Also a kid who will pick up people's models without permission to look at them...and is a bit "heavy handed" with models to the point I'm terrified he's going to accidentally break them.

Now, for really real, I'm going to sleep.

I don't care how badly I paint. If someone starts touching my models whome I don't know or who doesn't ask permission, they usually suffer 2D6+6 STR10 impact hits from me (aka face breakage). If you spend that much time on creating something to have some kid banging around with it, thats just wrong. Have him thrown out until he learns how to be an adult.

That's why i wanted the 7th Stegadon to be metal.. Kids will pick it up.. and probably drop it.. but it looks fun the way its horns will keep their hands nailed on the table...Kinda sadistic.. but that will teach them to not touch toys without permission.
