I never field a Slann without it. (at least when I used to play Lizardmen)

Of course the Standard of Discipline is the most common and efficient standard for a Slann
the main alternative would be the razor standard... but IIRC, it was 45 points and could be given directly to the Guards unit.

if you like to experiment and test some really aggressive approach, you could pair razor and skavenpelt

I tend to always give the razor standard to the guard unit.

For sure. That Ld 10 cold-blooded bubble is too good to pass up. It makes Stegadons as close to unbreakable as possible, and other units extremely reliable. For such a small investment, it's worth its weight in gold.
