I've started new topic in PLog section, it's more accurate.

I've bought 77 saurus warriors (those old plastics) but I still need to buy some metal sauruses and guards.
Also I'm going to buy like 120 skinks with bows as I really want hordes in army.
5 Stegadons woud be cool too, but probably those would be made by me or I'll buy those in some plastic toy shop (to match old warhammer style and get best prices )



Here's first roster for Warhammer:

Saurus Scar-Veteran (armor of destiny and GW, wont be used in first games as he is quite expensive)
Priest (2nd level and palaque of tepoc)

20 Saurus Warriors (hand weapon, shield, full CMD)
20 Skinks
2 Kroxs
2 Salamanders

This is starting army and will grow over time. I'll be using those minis for Warlord too.

I'll post pictures when I start convering and painting those minis.
Right now I'm hesitating on bases. Should those be desert or swampy ones.

the sheer numbers you're throwing around are awesome. I think you might've inspired me to check out my local toy shops for cheap stegadon stand ins.

I've just made a nice deal in getting:
120 skinks (oop plastics)
50 saurus warriors (oop plastics)

oop slaan
oop stegadon
2 skink priests
2 oop kroxes
2 oop salamanders

and some metal commands for saurus, temple guards, and skinks

well I'd like to have all sculpts so now I have lack of metal saurus warriors with spears and temple guards and metal skinks. also some terradons would be cool.

Anyway I'm going to convert from those as much as I can.
Hope to get those minis in 2-3 weeks.

You might want to check out my Lizard army blog here on this forum as I am also converting old 5th editon plastics to use as 8th edition troops. One of the projects I have in the pipeline is making my Saurus into spear saurus, although to be honest in 8th edition I think the spears are of dubious value for the cost.
