Painting Question

Has anyone successfully painted Reptiladon Spine or Omek's Tears starhosts?

I love the schemes on paper but have failed to get anything looking good on a few test minis.

Would love to see some examples or get some tips from anyone who can help.

It is better than I can paint I think. Are you going to attempt the squared-off blocky stripe?

Photography-wise I would ruthlessly crop this. (Top and bottom. Less fingers and mug.)

Easy enough to do:

There’s not one less pixel worth of Skink, but there’s less pixels of image file.

Thanks! Yeah, I'll add markings and not finished basing.
When I start doing batches they should be a bit neater, but also want to work at speeding up the process a bit.

If you want to match the Reptiladon's Spine scheme you might need to do the back scales a darker more greenish blue
