Busy, busy! :):):)

Man I got to do some painting. Woodworking projects are really side tracking me.
 
I'd rather say I've been quite steady. I'm doing my thesis so I'm painting whenever I get the chance and haven't been playing GTA online for quite some days now :D

Also saurus warriors are incredible easy to paint. All their jewelry get the same color as the weapons meaning that there aren't a whole lot of things to paint that takes a lot of time. I'm still awating my shields so that's kinda annoying.

Now, I'll see if I can't get tetto teh man done today :D
 
Ugh.. Alright so I've ordered some spartan shields from Element Games UK. The shields were supposed to be dispatched the 13th of May, but are now back to the 20th of May and every day I check they postpone the dispatch by another day. I've ordered 42 shields and it's quite annoying that nothing is happening. The alternative is that I order directly from the makers of the shields, but they are located in the USA and I'd risk an import tax to Denmark :(
 
I wrote to element games today in a bit harsh tone. They apologized and said that their supplier are discontinuing some of their products and they are uncertain if the shields I ordered are among those which might be the cause of why my shields haven't been shipped from the UK yet.

So I decided to check things out myself. I've ordered a fvckton of shields from schibor miniatures, going way overboard of what I'd normally do in terms of spending money on stuff like this. If they ship monday/tuesday they still have them and I can cancel my order from Element Games. :p Well see..
 
Tetto'Eko is done. Took some more time than I expected. His left arm didn't like glue so it wouldn't stick. Besides I also got some stuff for my saurus warriors so I've been messing about with that. Base isn't done here because I'll be ordering some temple themed one next month.

I've decided to keep a more simplistic and "clean" theme. I found the previous theme to have too many colours and it sucked up paint time per model like a black hole. What is beautiful is that TE really fits into the theme colorwise, something I somehoe managed not to hit home on the last time.

I think I'll be uploading my saurus tomorrow so you can see them in although they are still in a work-in-progress state (missing their damn shield!).

I will, however, admit that my theme have been inspired by ZaGreekie :3
 
And the mighty Saurus emerge. Great start, looking good :). Now for the shields!

Alright I think scibor miniatures is a dud. Why? Today I checked elementgames conversion bits section and they don't have anything on stock. All of their things come from scibor miniatures so something tells me that they've shut down production - maybe because they are updating their minatures? I don't know, sounds suspecious.

They are quite cheap and located in the Uk and I think it's their own product. I'm hopeful that they can actually deliver 40 shields lol. If they send them tomorrow I'll have them either by the end of the week or early next week.

I'm getting VERY impatient because this is all I need to continue my project and so far I've waited 9 days with no shields in sight. In reality I probably should wait a bit more because in panic mode I also managed to place an order directly from scibor miniatures. I'll have to do a whole lot of order cancelling if hfminis can deliver my order lol. However, with the money saved I can order som temple bases from element games. :p

The other things I ordered last week came saturday, so I'm hopeful =)
 
well it other news I managed to paint the base color + shade on both the skin and scales on 7 models. Hopefully I can have them all highlighted tomorrow and then all the hard work is done. :)

I'll see if I cannot get another 10 saurus warriors "done" this week.
 
Shields have been dispatched :D I've payed extra to have track and trace on it so I can follow it. Getting super impatient now <.<
Tomorrow I'll cancel the other orderes.
