its already bigger than any of the social apps !! and have you seen Nintendo's stock MAKING MONEY slanny
I've heard... it's an absolute phenomenon! It has single handily resurrected Nintendo. Impressive to say the least.
This is the disturbing part. A named but faceless corporation has artificially created crowds in arbitrary locations...with, and for the sake of, a game.
To answer my own curiosity.... http://ca.ign.com/articles/2016/07/...code-hints-at-potential-mcdonalds-partnership
It might be possible that it fools the pedometer as well. Why is that sad? Gamers getting exercise is a great thing.
As a recovering rower and wannabe gym-bunny I get enough exercise. I need my eggs hatching dammit. Where's my Lapras already?! Saying that I stumbled upon a cool art installation when hunting down some pokemon. My favourtie thing about his app is that it encourages you to get to know you're local area - it's almost a tourist guide in of itself, but with a focus on the niche. The rule for Pokemon Go imo is my foundation rule: be considerate of yourself and others. Obviously don't go down a dark alley at night even if there is a Aerodactyl. Look when crossing roads. Don't scour private property for a Omistar. etc. As long as you're not stupid it should be fine.
Agreed... but unfortunately there is a significant segment of the population that are either unwilling or unable abide by this rule. Naturally, social media is there to capture and disseminate the resulting chaos. This is of course in no way the game's fault... virtual Darwinism perhaps?
