As far as I understood it they'l sell the templates to someone who then has a license to print them and sell them commercially (and to a bunch of individuals who are allowed to print for personal use) so I guess you might see it eventually even if you can't print it yourself.

I'd be happy if that were to happen. They are very intriguing designs, especially the Chaos Dwarf with the slave girls. I'd definitely buy physical copies (price dependent of course) if the printing quality was top notch. I'm not interested in those striated print jobs where the separate layers are noticeable.
 
I hope they'l provide a link to whomever buys the rights so you can find them easily. Would be weird if they sell the templates and then don't team up to advertise the actual models.

Agreed, that makes sense.


I am curious as to how much something like this would actually cost to print. I have zero experience with 3D printers, so I have no clue.

There's a good chance one of the many Etsy 3D miniature sellers could buy the files/rights to print.

I would totally mount that model on some sort of Chaotic Dwarven contraption and use it as a custom character!!! Seems like an army leader to me!

Yeah, now that you mention it... though I'd say it goes a bit beyond "inspiration", I'm fairly certain the one sitting on the floor could almost be a screenscap from that scene, from the clothes to the hair down to the way she's sitting.

Also, has anyone noticed how tall the Chaos Dwarf is compared to the human women he's having a good time with? Have the Dawi-Zharr been working on mixing their genes with those of Giants or something?
