    Shadow Troopers are an EU creation; Stormtroopers with personal cloaking devices (your best bet for seeing them is probably Battlefront). The 501st are Anakin/Vader’s personal Clone/Stormtrooper legion - they do feature in the films, but you get a better focus on them in Star Wars the Clone Wars.

    I remember fighting those Shadow Troopers in Jedi Knight (part 2 IIRC). They were tough.
    ...and those special ones were even carrying lightsabers.

    Man those games are awesome. I replay all of them every few years.

    This is true and it is is the reason why the Sith don't work well in great numbers like the Jedi do. The Sith work best as a concentration of power within a master and an apprentice.

    X-Wing pilot.

    1 - it was cool while it lasted, because...
    2 - ...I've largely passed the age of active service on fighter planes, so I'm already retired OR I'm a high rank officier in the air force.
    3 - either case, enjoy the prestige deriving from my status, without the risks involved in fighting.
