My mother in law would eat it the same way. I swear, whenever we do BBQ I ask myself: "why does she eat the coal?" until I realize it is her meat. Then I ask myself: "Why doesn't she eat the coal" because there is no visible difference between the coal and what she is eating.
Of course there is a difference, coal leaves a bitter taste in the mouth where as cremated bacon is salty and crunchy, think pork scratchings
I went with 4 as well, chewy but with some crisp to it. Too much of a carnivore to refuse any of it if presented to me though.
Actually, the only vote for 2 is mine. Now I'm curious... none of you would like to eat this, with that delicious loose fat that saturates the bread...? because in Italy it's considered an exquisiteness!
Oh I definitely would, I do eat those occasionally and enjoy doing so. I just prefer the more crispy bacon which is why I voted 4.
