Home video theatre, gaming room and cocktailbar. Was very tempted to put in indoor pool, but then i remembered how much work actually owning a pool is, and then i reconsidered. :p

I'm curious, how much work would an indoor pool be? What tasks have to be completed? Daily? Weekly?

    I've never owned a pool.

A normal outside pool might be a lot of work, I see an indoor pool as less work. Mostly because there are no other influences on the pool then our use of it.

I've always wasted so much time listening to music, I pretty much listen every time I browse the internet (in fact, i'm doing it right now!) Music pretty much permeates my existence, but i haven't really divulged much effort into actually learning any of it so a music studio to play around with stuffs and experiment would be cool.

A room dedicated entirely to video games seems like such an obvious choice for a person like me who's been playing them ever since the day they were born. Though I haven't really been as enthusiastic for playing as I was used to.

A private library seems like a waste to me, since you can read digitally rather easily and cheaply. Though I could use one since passing by it on a regular basis could motivate me to read more.

Nothing beats flicking through an actual book. Paper in your hands even the smell of books :)

This is going to sound pretty weird, but my uncle used to own a castle in France, and they had an outdoor pool. Always before we used it the plastic had got to go off, all the water had to be drained and cleaned, and it took forever to heat up. I don't know how much more work an indoor pool would be, i would imagine that you would still had to drain the whole thing every once in a while and you would have to have the chlorine on acceptable levels.

Don't know exactly how much more or less work an indoor pool would be, but i do remember that it always amazed me how long it took before we could actually use the pool after we arrived. It was fantastic when the work was done though, really liked my time there.

My friend's parent's had a small indoor pool. Eventually they swam so seldom they stopped maintaining it and just covered it up.

The hot tub, they kept maintaining.

I had forgotten to how much work is supposed to go into maintaining clean swimming/hot tub water. I'm no expert, by any stretch, I just worked at a small spa company for a couple of summers.

I know you need to have constant regular ventilation to maintain the humidity as well as to allow chlorine particles out of the swimming spaces (not many people think of that). You need to keep an eye on your filter regularly, and scrub the pool walls every week or so. You should clean out the filter every month probably. Maintaining chemicals can be a busy process depending on how often you use the pool. The human body is covered in oils, dirt, perfumes, etc. and will effect the pH and bacteria level of the water. You will likely need to "shock" the water with lots of chlorine or bromine on occasion to clean it, and then use chlorine or bromine to maintain.

You know, after thinking about all of this, I'm changing one of my rooms to the... hmm... Indoor Court, I guess. Maybe that will encourage me to be a bit more active.

    You people are lazy.
I won't let anyone of you into MY pool!

(Of course not... it's quarantine, after all:p)

Library, Pool, and Cocktail Bar, and in that order too (I would trade out the bar for a hobby room in a heartbeat though)

Only caveat is that the cocktail bar only has ingredients for Whisky Sodas, and the Soda gun is broken.
