Did anyone not vote for the TARDIS? Whut? Well, i guess not everyone watches the show i guess. It's one of the few vaguely safe options, as the doctor will be there i guess.
I voted for the TARDIS as well and I thought more people would have. As you say, a lot of those other places are extremely hostile and dangerous.
I voted Westeros. I like hostile, dangerous places in fiction, always keeping the reader/viewer on edge for what happens next.
I guess it comes down to how we interpret the original question. I interpreted the question as which door would I choose if I were to physically walk into that world (with my own life and happiness on the line). As far as fictional value goes, my vote would go for Westeros...but to actually live in that world, Westeros would be my last choice!
Ahh, I'd have to agree with the "living there" part of the question. I'd rather go live in the Mushroom Kingdom since I can eat mushrooms, have cakes baked for me and ride a Dinosaur for commuting to/from work
I opened Hyrule as I knew all the others. At least, I was going to get a surprise. Also, @NIGHTBRINGER, the tardis is one of the least safe places anywhere. Every time it is used it transports the doc and Co to a random place where there are evil things are happening. This is a guarantee. Have you ever seen a Dr who that doesnt involve danger of death? I think not
In that sense they are all dangerous places. All those stories/settings revolve around resolving dangerous situations. However, the TARDIS is the only one that allows you to choose your time and setting with near complete and absolute freedom. Hyrule is the fictional setting for the Legend of Zelda video game series.
I chose Middle Earth. Where else would a Dwarf go? Ok there’s Narnia as well but we Dwarfs don’t speak of that place as some of our kin were lured by the White Witch to join her army. At least in Middle Earth all Dwarves are a trustworthy lot.
This one was difficult. If I could go through the door and be Aragorn, then obviously Middle Earth would be. If I had to go through and be myself, then I would take Hogwarts... Less chance of death.
I haven't watched a single episode of Doctor Who, but still voted TARDIS. Just because it is a time machine. Go somewhere in the future to get protective equipment and/or some means to fly, then go visit Earth to look at Dinosaurs, or the Middle Ages, or Teotihuacán, or Rome, or whatever.
You most definitely have to go as yourself. Slightly off topic: Supposing that you could be an actual character from the series... why choose Aragorn? Why not say Legolas, who is much longer lived and stays youthful.
Women just got tiring after a few hundred years so he probably would choose someone or something else as well.... just sayin'.... That being said: he is one of my favourite characters as well.
I’d choose Thorin myself. Thorin is both long-lived as a Dwarf (although he dies too early ) and I think he’s a great character. His character development in the Hobbit was impeccable, especially in the Battle of the Five Armies. Also he gets Orcrist, one of the Elven super swords!
I'd rather be an Elf in LOTR than a Dwarf. Longer lived, better surroundings, more combat effective, more intelligent, better looking, cleaner, etc.
