Clearly, despite the flexibility in our current book, a Slann is really designed to be the general of a LM army not an OB. Somewhat a shame, but that is the way GW rolls I guess.

I couldn't agree more with you Maverick. Although Strewart does have a point but I am with you on the "realistic" part of the conversation

Are you talking about that magic banner or is there another magic item which gives +1 Ld? If it is the banner I don't think an OB can be a BSB and besides that it would eliminate his ability to take magic weapons and armour which is something you definately want to give him.

Didn't say it was a great choice... just your only one...
Too bad the stegadon helm is Skink only. :(

Well he can take it ... he can't be your general is he does.

But! If you put him in a unit that has the banner he is also Ld 9. So he can effectively pass on that ld 9 to other units and still give him the magic weapons and armour he needs!

Thinking of trying Hide of cold ones with Aura of Quetzl and great weapon.
this guy could potentially hold up large enemy core units as more likely than not they will need 6's to wound and 5's to hit which can become 6's to hit if they fail there leadership test.

Against elven characters I think that this guy would rock.
Maybe add in Poison to make attacks magical and poisonous.
