Tutorial Priority Targets

Finally finished the unit description for Fleash-Eater Courts. This project is more laborious than I anticipated. Hopefully I will be able to finish all the unit description this week and get into the helpful part of the thread next week!

Death armies are bogging me down. I hate them so much it isn't even fun to write about them :(

The helpful part of the thread? If you left the thread alone after only doing what you’ve done so far for each faction then it would still be an incredibly useful tool. Don’t underestimate how awesome this is for members of the community such as myself who are new to AoS and aren’t as familiar with all the various factions and units just yet. Thanks for putting your time and effort into this for the community to utilise but don’t let it burn you out mate.

Do you need a helping hand for LoN and nighthaunt?
I was thinking of offering something similar. I don’t have much experience playing the units but I could write up a basic description of the ones you have highlighted as priority before submitting to you to edit?

Thanks for the offers. I will get through it tonight. I am enjoying the reward of working on a theory crafting project of this scope. So I will decline your offers for purely selfish reasons :D

Sorry about the delay in filling out this thread. I recently had a bunch of stuff come up that prevented me from any long stretches of dedicated writing.

This week I should finally be able to finish all the unit descriptions. Most of the tactics to deal with the various units will fall under one or two of several categories. So I will probably write a generalize tactics index with a brief description of each of the strategies and which units within Seraphon are best equipped to preform them. I then plan to link each strategy to the various units. The format will look something like this:

Unit Name:
Witty-unit-description-with-the-most-relevant-warscroll-info-to-convince-the-reader-they-are-priority-targets. A detailed break down of all the things the unit does and why they are important to your opponent.

What to do:
  • Strategy-link
  • Strategy-link
How to select various Seraphon units to carryout the required task.

I continue to look forward to it! :p

So Ossiarch Bonereapers are shaking up the rumor forums. People are thinking they are gonna be almost unbeatable. As such I think a priority target list would be helpful.

Big targets are the Mortek Crawlers (catapults), the Mortisans (especially the Boneshaper and Soulmason), and the Gothizzar Harvesters.

Their biggest threat are their large blobs of Mortek Guards who are super tough to take out especially with the above support units. Best way to deal with them is put skinks in front of them and limit their movement.

Yep. I am waiting on the book to make any real assessments.

I don’t want to come across as pushy or anything - I completely get this is something you’re doing in your free time and if you were to leave this as it already is it would already be an exceptionally useful tool - but I was just wondering if you have any plans to finish this off? As much as anything, I just enjoy reading your tactical insights into the various different units even though I rarely play games, so I would be intrigued to read your takes on the last remaining units. Again though, don’t feel at all pressured to do this if you weren’t otherwise planning to; it’s not like I need it for Tournaments or anything, I’m just curious :)

I do plan to finish it. In the near future even. My free time has just gotten more redistricted as of late. This project haunts my dreams.

I am glad that you have enjoyed reading through the thread.
