the models hit are the models under te temple at the end of the movement? or all the models in his path as he moves?

All models in its path as it moves.

But they FAQ'd it to only do damage to where it stops. Now If it stops on top of a unit it pops out 1" behind, if it is touching yet another unit then it pops out behind that unit 1" but it does not cause wounds on those units, it just passes them by.

so all models in his path take damage except where it stops?

Sorry was unclear.

Say it goes 30", max distance, everything it touched along the way takes damage. If it stops on top a unit, it has to pop through to the other side of the unit, so everything still takes damage.

If it encounters another unit after that, it just continues to pop though units until it no longer is in contact with any model/unit. However, none of those units takes any damage. Used to be it hit everything until it could not move anymore! You were able to clear a table with one well placed Purple Sun, so they fixed it.

aaah , so if it stops in aunit, that unit gets the hits, but then it pops out, and if it pops in an other unit, that unit DOES NOT get hit , and it just pops out?

That is correct.

Nerfed the spell a bit, which is good if you are a Lizardman who plays against many players who like using Death Magic.

FAQ said:
Q: If a magical vortex ends its move over a unit it is placed 1"
beyond the unit. If this is also over a unit should it be placed 1"
beyond that unit, repeating the process until it is not touching any
models? When this happens, I assume models between where the
magical vortex ended its move and where the template is placed are
not affected by the spell? (p36)
A: Yes to both questions.
That should mean that the spell only hurts what it passes over with its normal move (the dice-roll). If it has to pop out through a unit (or several units) no additional models are hit.
