The city of Qua’pati(the fate-stone) was once a part of Chupayotl, it was until the red ritual.
Tlixa a slann from Itza was once traveling to Oyxl to read the glyphs on the gate of the city. He never got there. On his way to the city he found a pyramid made completely out of jade. Tlixa was very curios so he walked into the pyramid. Inside was a room with a chest, inside it Tlixa found a plaque. On it was instructions to a ritual. It was terrifying; a slann had to sacrifice some of him to raise the ruins of Chupayotl from the sea. He knew those instructions were of great importance, and that the other slanns wouldn’t allow him to sacrifice himself. Immediately Tlixa changed the route to the site were Chupayotl ones were.
Tlixa was not sure the ritual would work, so he only gave a liter of blood to the priests performing the ritual. As the blood was given to the ocean, the sea started boiling, but the water was cold as ice, the lizardmen turned orange and red, and from the sea came an island ten miles long and ten miles wide, on the top of the island stood great ruins of the long lost city. But in all the glory the skinks noticed wile beast of the sea stalking the streets of the island. The slann summoned a great Coalt to take the lives of the fishmen.
Since then the island has been renamed Qua’pati, and the lizardmen have started a war of cleansing the ruins of the sunken city. Every year more temples are being rebuilt. The whole island has been dedicated to Tzunki lord of water. Inside Qua’pati the skink artisan-priest tries to unlock secrets of the arcane items, the old ones left in Lustria.
To this date the war of the fishmen has raged but now it’s at its climax.
