Has anyone ever made a mock example of what type of music they would play? I like to get into character when i play and model. But never really thought about what would the seraphon or lizardmen music would sound like.

Not sure what kind of music the Lizardmen/Seraphon would listen too. I guees something like native American music would be the closest you would come to it. There are also thematic songs, that can capture the essence of their faction pretty well, i like this one in particular.

AWESOME! that means i can make some...i'll see what kind of mash up and fluff i come up with next time i'm bored.

Type in "Aztec Music" or "Incan Music" and you get hundreds of hits. "Mayan music" not as many but a fair bit.

Basically it would sound like that. Throw in some growls, chirps, and ribbits for "vocals." Or maybe human like singing if it was in a foreign language by people with raspy throats and over exaggerated "s"

I think the general theme of the Lizardmen plays more to percussion instruments: think drums (like big thumpy ones), guiros, maracas, those things with the metal strips that you twang (I'm no good with instruments sorry). Yeah, that kind of stuff.

@Tuxedokman . We may naturally focus on the war side of Warhammer Lizardmen but fluffwise, "calm and floaty" is probably their default state. it's almost like the Lizardmen are all taking long naps or standing in a constant state of readiness when not fighting waiting for something to happen.

I try to write my fluff giving Lizardmen more character in their off time, but even I have to say that Lizardmen are probably the most slow moving and reactive of the Forces of Order. Only the Tomb Kings are more passive and they have the excuse of being literally dead.

Ill have to read some of your stuff. But ive always pictured them about as calm and serene as an anthill. Not totally mindless but of single focus and diligent to their breed purpose.

You can find my works in the Lustriapedia as well the works of many other fine writers each with a unique take on the personalities of Lizardmen and Seraphon.

It probably wouldn't be the sort of music they'd make, but I think this piece kind of sums up the Seraphon fairly well. If there was a Warhammer film, I think this would work quite well for them:

I don't know about Seraphon, but Lizardmen would have a very tribal theme to them. When listening to music I always try to think of pieces that would suit different Warhammer races. For Lizardmen I have thought of quite a few different pieces. This one for a main Lizardman theme:

This one for an intro theme for a Blood in the Badlands campaign:

And this one for a battle theme:

What do you think?

I think these have elements that would be close to a Lizardmen musical composition, but there are alot of elements that their anatomy wouldnt allow. Like any type of flute music, or vocal arrangements. The percussion and chinking rattles are close to spot on though. As time permits throughout the next few weeks im going to be composing to the best of my abilities something i think that you would hear from a lizarmen city based on their physical, mental and cognitive abilites. An orchestrated translation isnt something im after here, we already have james horner for that lol.

You could have vocals, as Skink Priest Acolytes chanting or something.

This just popped into my head, I think the vocals fit with what Lord Agragax might have had in mind:

If someone with musical talent and a modern sound studio wanted to make a CD (or whatever you young un' use instead of CDs) I would chip into a Kickstarter for it.
