Blog Quetz’s Seraphon and Idoneth Deepkin

It’s been a while but I’m back on the Age of Sigmar stuff!

I have completed Volturos High King of the Deep.

This was a wonderful kit to build and paint.

I used a lot of Citadel Contrast paints and must admit I’m impressed with the finish.

You may have noticed I haven’t based it yet. My daughter has asked if she can base the Idoneth force!

To be honest I’m glad she offered as I have a MASSIVE pile of shame to get through!

Cheers mate! It’s really good to be getting some AoS stuff done.

I’ve finally finished the Leviadon! (It’s been a bit of a saga with me running out of paint etc)

I’m reasonably pleased with the results.

I’m really excited by the reveals on what’s coming for the Seraphon!

I have put together a 2000pts force so I’m going to work through that. It’s probably not “competitive” but it’s a start!

The Contrast paints really showing their worth on the scaled hide and the shell :artist:
I love that you painted their armor and the plating of 'chariot' in a dark metal, it works great.

Does he have or get a base?

Imrahil, there is a base but it hasn’t been done yet!

My daughter wants to base the Deepkin stuff in a suitably oceanic way, so watch this space!

Next on the painting table is 10 Skinks.

I’m primarily a DKoK player getting into AoS. So my colour schemes do tend to be a bit darker!

Well I’ve finished everybody’s favourite Zombie Toad!

Really happy with this one, I used my usual approach of using a limited palette.

I went with more water effects on the base (he’s an amphibian after all!)

So much detail on this sculpt. Seriously it’s amazing!

Awesome job, I like how everything pops against the stone! I love a painted Kroak!

It all seemed to come together while I was painting it.

The detail on this model is incredible, a painters dream!

Looks like rain here for the foreseeable future, glad I got the lawn mowed and Stegadon primed!!!
