Rare earth magnets

It's more for the realism of a unit actually losing its banner, rather than another unit spawning a different banner, or your banner bearer cloning into a normal guy and then teleporting himself to your opponent.
 
Wow both of those are prety good ideas,
Personaly I have dozens of extra banners and
a huge box of extra bases....
 
Sorry to bring up such an old topic but I'm magnetizing my steg right now :).

It looks like you magnetized the attachment from the platforms to the steg too. Why did you do this? For easier transport? It's not necessary for swapping configurations right?
