Blog ravagekitteh's models

Awesome, you've got a nice little squad there, interesting and a good take on the color schemes, I always thought the pure gold ones were quite bland.

I’ve done a fair bit more, although I keep forgetting to post it so I’ll do it now while I remember! :D

First of all, my Thundertusk. He was great to paint with all that lovely, lovely, lovely Ceramite White . I ended up giving up after my fourth(!) coat on the tusks and just went straight to the glaze. Still quite a nice centrepiece model though

Apologies for poor image quality.

I have also begun work on my gaming board! It’s going to be similar to how I’ve based my figures, with the sea coming onto the sand. So far I’ve got the boards and painted on the sea parts and some of the sand. The next steps will be to finish the sand colours, varnish the water and glue loads of sand onto the beach part. Should hopefully look pretty good!

By the way, do you guys know of any good ‘ice effects paints’ that are easily obtained in the UK? For my Beastclaw Raiders I’m hoping to do them pretty similarly to my Seraphon, but with snow on the sand and the water frozen over. If the ice works based on the colour beneath that would be great as it would go with the board, but if not it isn’t essential, as it probably wouldn’t be that realistic anyway! :)

Sorry cant help you with the ice, but that looks promising, cant wait to see it progress

I’m thinking of potentially getting into Warhammer Underworlds, so to get me started I decided to get myself two of the Warbands I wanted anyway! Meet the Sepuchral Guard, a bunch of varyingly armoured skellies and Mollog, a Troggoth who just wants a nap (best backstory ever!)

Looking forward to how you paint both of these warbands, I am considering getting that troll at some point. Love the stalagsquig, I might want to cast that little dude!

I can just imagine you casting a horde of Stalagsquigs now - Movement 0 but having Dwarf Miner-style deepstrike and dealing impact hits if you deepstrike them onto an enemy unit ;)

Very nice. Something which isn't touched on a whole lot about the Seraphon is the visual presence they bring to the board. When amassed and organised together there are so many unique things to take in at once and you definitely get this looking your pictures as well @ravagekitteh.

So much inspiration going around these forums it's amazing.

That is an excellent looking carnosaur, and this is one awesome paintblog. Your models look excellent, and many of the bases are very unique and well executed. Hopefully you will do more stuff soon as your painting skills are exceptionally good.

Love that beach board!

I’m assuming it’s for Armies on Parade and that you’re putting your Lizardmen on it, as opposed to Idoneth or another maritime themed army?
It’s just meant to be a general gaming board that I’ve themed around the way I’ve based my models, with the Seraphon coming out the sea. It’s only two out of the eight boards though - there will be more to come!
