Discussion Realmshaper Engine glyphs

Hi all,

Looking at the Realmshaper Engine I was wondering about the glyphs and maybe a story behind them.
I started with the 'clean' side of the RE because those are easier to read.

See below my results:



It seems like GW didn't take the effort with them. as they messed it up quite bad IMO.
Also on the overgrown side there are a lot of unknown Glyphs.

Do you guys find some sort of fluff story in the glyphs or is it just thematic?

Yeah, it would be an awesome idea in practice but I just don't think GW even thought of that...

I did the same thing when I got mine, it's disappointing because the designers have done it before. Have you tried deciphering the glyphs on the Carnosaur? It's mostly gibberish but there is a familiar word on the tail.

Yeah I did this before.
Here and here in my painting blog you find the translations.

Also the glyphs on the Astrolith Bearer have an translation.

Yeah, it would be an awesome idea in practice but I just don't think GW even thought of that...

The problem is even more that they did use some of the same old lore glyphs(and even messed up a fair bit of those) and some New(?) Glyphs...

Sad that they don't mean anything. They do look nice though.

Yes... I'm also disappointed that the glyphs don't seem to mean anything in this model (as far as we know). I was really hoping GW would do that again. Of course, we just have the WHFB lizardmen alphabet as a one-to-one with the English alphabet. In many ancient languages, glyphs/runes had other meanings. It would be fun to know if GW attaches anything to these glyphs, or if they're just cool designs.
