Blog Return of the Ancient Painter: Troggoths added

Oh god yes, I was really thinking about picking up some Skeleton Horde alongside my TK's and you doing this really makes me more pumped to do it! REALLY looking forward to updates! <3
Especially Akhan and the King ;)

So I wanted a fast method for my Death rattle skellys,

All primed with Army painter "skeleton bone" spray, very much like Ushabti bone when dry washed with Nihilakh oxide (citadel technical paint).
Transfers were applied to shields banners before the wash, the idea was to make them look good without doing detail that has been saved for my wight king, Arkhan etc.

Left to do is 10 Black Knights bret converts they will be Celesta grey base then washed Nihilakh Oxide and Arkhan painted like Nagash from warhammer TV (still to purchase these)

Thanks @Bainbow for the convert spark.
And here I was debating giving my Bret Skellies a spectral green design... god damn it, Crow.
(It looks awesome really, though. Good work.)

Must admit, I had this brief moment of horror brought on my a lack of worth in my own work and nearly decided to just not make my Bret-Undead army after all because yours are so much better than mine would be, but then I realised that you've done them with different specifics than what I want so now we can both enjoy our skelly-Brets.

If you want any help painting send some to me and I will help.

This model is amazing! The fur and the cloak really stand out to me! Looks like he's been dragging his cape through his victims! I also can't get over how fantastic that green looks on this army! Incredible vision on your part.

The King was done slightly different, white scar base and then Coelia greenshade to try and give him a brighter tone.

Nice! A very unique paint job, I like it alot! Thinking how I'm gonna paint my own (when I get it) and this definitely gave me some ideas!

Btw, is it a metal mini?
