Blog Ritual's Army - Lizard on Lizard Action (For the Waaaaagh!)

The green stuff seems very adhesive when pushing the feathers into them, I'll see what happens when it's fully dry.

The green stuff will do good enough at holding them, but if you want them ever stronger you can rip the off once the green stuff is cured an glue them back on with superglue.
Really cool idea, by the way!

Working out the colours and highlights. Did a bit of a wet blend on the motif at the top.

Used a gloss varnish on the triangles and motif to give them a more gem stone feel.

And then finally painted the bones.

Final details and just the heads left now!

I'm going to need a break from painting gold pretty soon, but I have all those warriors that need finishing....
I´m now painting my guards in a batch of 9 and they take so damn long. It took me 2 days and a half worth of work to just paint the orange skin . But I´ve decided to set my goal to finish them by next Monday, so hopefully my blog will finally get updated :)

Going for a different colour scheme for the second Carno, going to fluff it as a male and a female.

The priests are primed now so they look better, probably won't be finished in time for their encounter with @InfamousBeany on Friday.

And then my chamo skinks have their base colour down too.

That red and black, and that design on the csrno looks amazing! Can't wait to see these skinks finished.

I've got another 15 I need to build so I should have done that before I started painting, but think I might paint them slightly differently for each squad of 5 anyway :)

Here's a closer up shot of the shield...

This is amazing ! May I ask how did you do the shield ?

It's an ancient indian technique handed down through the generations...

I'll share it with you....

Prepare yourself...

Not sure your mind can handle it....

You just whack some white paint on a toothbrush and run your finger over the bristle to splash it everywhere.

What about the back ground though ! Just basecoating black purplish or? It is simply amazing!

It's black then airbrush bits of purple, I've advanced that since to purple, blue, pink, orange, white and then adding the stars after.

There's a comparison between the original shield and the newer version somewhere in here I think!

Awesome thanks ! I unfortunately do not have an airbrush yet but will keep in mind for later on :D
