Intersting (quite smooth) gradient on those. Which technique did you use to create it?

I airbrushed the black, then the white, then the grey to blend the two - came out pretty well. The photo isn't great, once I finish up the other side and have them stuck on the model it should be easier to get a better pic.

Ah, airbrush. Ok that explains the smoothness.
....man I have to try that....

It's the future, seriously though blends are sooo easy with an airbrush

It would have taken hours of layers and waiting for them to dry to get that effect manually... Instead it took a couple of minutes. I'm happy with taking the quicker route!

Yeah the results really speak for themselves.
In fact I got a (cheap starter) airbrush some years ago (before I started this hobby) and tried painting a model plane with it.
....and failed miserably which is why I gave the airbrush to my brother who uses it for... something. I will ask him to show me how to use it. Maybe I can at least use it for priming/basecoating a bit. Priming with rattle cans works fine but I am still not a fan of those.

Quicker and I don't consider it cheating as it does take a bit of skill to master it, are you going to edge highlight the tips?

Already done, you just can't make it out cos they go out of focus... Look at the ones closer to the inside and they're like that.

Also you're now taking the train to get to work so you can always get at least the basecoat done on your way to work and back home, right?;):po_O

I get to work at least30 minutes early every day to avoid sitting in traffic so its ideal painting time!

Ok. Thats one way to use the time... but I would prefer to leave 30 minutes earlier if I came 30 minutes earlier... or also stay for 30 minutes after work to get a project done... that could also happen...

Excellent, I'm a long way of vehicles but I can't wait to do the Death guard transport, I'm moving away from a complete army of battleworn troops, I think it will just be a squad or two.
