It certainly was... Though I am thinking perhaps a change in the Chaos one, but we'll see what happens.

Also, made a few purchases while I'm here... Some of those are going to be surprising I think!

So far I've picked up:

Rogue Idol
Troggoth Hag
Grot Shaman (pack of 2)
Grot Warboss
Kroak
Eternity Warden
Astrolith Bearer

That's right... Seraphon. Watch this space, I have a plan.
 
Now i know what they do with all the fresh color pots that Duncan uses in his videos... or did they really give away 40 sealed pots of paint?!
 
That is a lot of paint to work with! Had to look up what a rogue idol was, have fun painting it!

I'll post pics for sure, looks like it's gonna be fun to paint... I've also a couple of little additions I want to make, and bought the biggest base there is to put it on!

In looking over your epic pic of all your AOS units, I am curious: is the standard base size for infantry 32mm round bases? The smaller gobbos seem to be on 25mm round bases. I am curious what size normal saurus warriors are based on nowadays, is it also 32mm or is there a size in between?

Skinks are on 25, warriors are on 32... Generally seems to go by model size.
 
Not bad at all! (especially because speed painted)
 
Looks pretty sweet by my books but we're all our harshest critics :P
 
Another hour and a half and his throne is done enough for Saturday.

I'll go back and add some striations to the stone work, and highlight the gold, and glaze some green into the vines to get them to pop... Maybe colour in some triangles. But for a quick job, and to be done by Saturday this is good enough.

This weekend is an event at the local GW, so on Saturday there's a hero mash (playing Kroak), then a monster mash (Rogue Idol) - then on Sunday there's a double tournament. 1k points each. I'm taking a mini Kroaknado, Kroak, Astrolith Bearer, 2x 10 skinks, Balewind Vortex, and whatever I decide to take for the last few points... Maybe an Eternity Warden, but seems a bit silly. My friend is taking 7 stormfiends... We're gonna smash some stuff.
