Blog Ritual's Army - Lizard on Lizard Action (For the Waaaaagh!)

There'll be pictures soon enough, but last night I built a platform out of old square bases glued back to back, I just need to texture those up using greenstuff/plaster. I've build hand rails out of Saurus Warrior banners, which look okay - might need to make a few additions to those in the way of ropes and stuff made out of green stuff.

Finally I have started on the actual "engine" of the engine of the gods out of a Hurricanum piece, which I am going to attach to a piece of rock sculpted out of bluefoam and plaster on the back of the platform, decorated with a few skulls and glyphs.

I just need to find more skinks now to have riding it.

Overall, it's coming along pretty well and could turn out pretty cool, if I can get it right.

Yeah, haven't decided what I'm doing with the weapon yet.

I might make the eyes "glow" a bit more. They look rather blank right now. Maybe you could also have that same "inner glow" happening in the holes on his chest. The "ribs" if you will. That could help show off the inner spark and break the metal monotony. The shoulder pads look awesome though!

No chance I am going to that level of detail on the most basic troop in an army to be honest... Reserve that kind of time for the eternals and more interesting models.

When you could end up painting a hundred of something you want them done quickly!

To be honest they should be thankful that I am edge highlighting the shoulders, let alone painting some little striations on them!

Yeah you tell em, those little plastic guys really need putting in their place :D

I like the base. The little touch of snow looks good and adds a whole 'nother dimension from just a brown base.

Nice stuff. Can you teach me how to take picutres like you haha. I feel like I may have already asked you about that, can't remember.
