Round Shields

Hey Guys, my first post on here for flipping ages!
Suffice to say, I've been derailed by other projects and back injuries (one of which I'm still suffering from now).

Anyway, I'm looking to convert some of my lizzies to be Southlands (now as my 5th ed Army Book states, they haven't been plundered as much as Lustria) so I was thinking it would be cool to convert them using current edition Sauruses and Aztec/Inca weapons and armour.

I've thought about using the previous Saurus shields, but was wondering if you guys could suggest some alternatives?

Any thoughts for alternative weapons would also be great (I'm planning a Temple guard unit fist, so more ornate stuff is good, I'm think of using TK shields, but I'm not entirely certain).

I''m thinking of converting my one shields with plasti-card, anyone have any experience with cutting round shapes fro it? Is it easy or impossible?

Not really sure what you are getting at though. Generic round shields? Or do you want something with a design already on them? Or do you want to make your own design for them?

Yay! strewart loves me at least! Ahemm...

I only really after a very basic round design (preferably without a boss), as I'm planning to do a bit of conversion work on them to "kustomize" them.

There just a bit too celtic for me (Don't get me wrong, I'm descended from celts, and I think their really cool, but not very lizardy).

The thing I'm really aiming for is similar to John Blanche's conversion ideas in the 5th ed army book, where he got some from of round shield and used a file to cut notches round the edges.


Maybe plain shields might be the best bet though.
