As long as you have the pics saved to whatever device you are using, click the "Upload a File" button, and select the choose file button. Find your picture and wait for it to load. If they are too low quality you might need to sharpen them and save them that way as if it is too small it won't load properly.
Oh wow! Fantastic fire themed guys. I really like the colour scheme on the lekelidon. Looks like hot embers. Brilliant job But the detail on your fire drake is magnificent. More pics from you! These are amazing!
Thank you! I know it's rather egotistical to say so but I am really rather pleased with them, particularly the Fire Drake. These are the first two big beasties I've ever painted so it was more 'hit and hope' than anything. I'm now terrified of starting the Ankylodon in case my luck runs out!
Haha! You have every right to be proud. These are seriously brilliant! Good luck on the Ankylodon, no pressure but I am anxiously awaiting this one! Probably my favourite model in the whole line!
Very nice on both counts, I think the fire drake could use a bit more contrast around his eyes, could you darken the socket more to make his eyes pop? Both are very nice and you should be proud of a job well done, what are you doing with the base, molten rock?
However much I would like to mess around with the base and learn new techniques, I don't have time if I want to hit the Clash of Kings deadline I've set myself to have a full army. As such it's just going to be a boring dry dry brushed stone base on the Fire Drake and gravel & rock base on the Lekelidon. And thank you for the suggestion on his eyes - when I get home in a week I'll be sure to darken them a little with Carroburg Crimson.
Nothing wrong with drybrushing your bases and they can still be very effective, paint them orange then drybrush with black then dark grey then karak stone or similar after that you can glaze with orange.
Well that sounds interesting. I wish we'd talked before I base coated the Fire Drake's base in dark grey! Have you got examples of models with bases done as you described please? I may still do it on some of the units!
No examples but what you can do is the opposite, wash with nuln oil then drybrush with orange then grey then karak stone, drybrush the top and edges more with karak stone then glaze. Want me to do a base?
I would really appreciate it if you could do a base in the way you first described please? Fire and lava is always hottest and brightest at the bottom, so I don't think a dark grey base would look right.
