Right, I'm stuck. I've been using this image for inspiration:

And so far I am here:

I just don't know how to paint the black stripes, or even where to put them. But I feel the model as it is it quite boring and not 'uber predator' enough. Any ideas?

Problem solved! I went for blue!

Thanks! And no idea - I did the Lancers' grey so was probably going tomorrow with that... Any better ideas?

I was thinking Marble so grey and green would work.

Not really, paint the shaft off white or light grey then add random thin lines of green or black

Just swap the colours around.
The shield was painted black then drybrushed Incubi darkness then pallid wych lines added and white scar lines be random and then I applied a biel tan wash but only in certain areas just to tint some of the lines.
