Woah you are as impressive as always @Xlanax_lot ! Truly inspiring vibrant colors ! May I ask how did you paint the Wooden and metal parts ?

Agreed! Looks really nice!... for a shaven thing... ;)
Also nice basing. Maybe I would have tried to make the grass look a bit burned close to the machine... like destroyed by the radiation something... but that's unimportant considering how great the painting is...;)

Skaven is that not a bad choice for such a slow painter, it's going to take you years to paint a horde of clanrats and we can't wait that long between posts!

I love Skaven (shoot me now) I think the cannon looks great but a bit too new for skaven are you going to add rust etc?

And when are you finishing that bloody Carnosaur?

Thanks @Seraphage ! Sure,

Wood: This was my first try at using my airbrush, i started priming everithibg with a neutral brown, after that I did some drybrushing to all the pieces with a lighter brown, that I washed the whole thing with seraphin sepia and let it dry... Finally I used green ann nuln oil washes in random places to make it look some what older

Metal: I used a mixture of silver and black to get a very dark metal collor, than I washed it with nuln oil and finally i did some highlights and scratches with pure silver

Thanks man! That is actually a very good idea I will see if I can do something like that in the next model

Hahahaha @Crowsfoot you are on spot there man! Painting 1000 clanrats or stoemvermin is probably not the best choise for me.... That is why I am going only for the most elite troups ( stormfiends, verminlords, jezzails, and weapon teams) if I do that the model coun is surprisingly low for skaven

Don't worry I had been out of the forum for a while, but I have some more miniatures to show you guy, I will post some more pictures this week

I am wrll aware of your frustration for the carnosaur! So I eill make you a promise! i am currently finishing the bastiladon ( wich has been a pain in the but) but once I am done witj it I will get to work on the carnosaur without fault!

Good man

It's good to have you back @Xlanax_lot . Your painted models are always a joy to look at. Your work on the warpstone is especially great, the greens are so vibrant. I don't know how you're able to pull of such extreme and beautiful contrasts while keeping the transitions so natural and smooth.

Glad to be back man, I had been playing more than anything else lately but I missed the painting part and the community here. If you are talking about the warplane cheap fluorescent acrylic green and yellow paints where the key to achieve the contrast, after I had that I just used a green wash only at the crevices to give it that extra contrast

Woaw he is cool....

Thanks! glad you approve of this filthy rat

I really like that, the yellow really compliments the bronze, how will he tie into your army is yellow going to be the main colour?

The main colorscheme for my army is going to be blue, orange and yellow.... For the fur I will vary between white and brown

Really extraordinary!:wideyed:
Were you the one achieving wet blending effects by layering? Must take millions of layers and hours to paint this way and achieve such results... I couldn't make out layers except on the horns on the standard on his back... and that only by zooming in the picture like mad... ;):p:cool:

Haha so was just going to take a quick look at your gallery, ended up going through every page just couldn't stop truly amazing work. Great job

Skaven are amazing, your method of painting warpstone is so bright and glowy, really cements the magic glowing stone feel. Also your woodgrain on the cannon is incredible
