8th Ed. Salamanders and Stand and Shoot

I thought that the salamander could stand and shoot. I have searched through previous threads (thought I saw it here somewhere). Can they stand and shoot? I thought it was in a FAQ.

Razordons can stand and shoot though.

That is what makes razors great sallie guards, just pissiton yourself in a manner that makes it impossible to get in on the sallie without contacting the razor to and have fun, altho small units and single models would easily have a small enough frontage to avoid such a trick.

It would be cool if you could combine the two units so that you have one unit with both a salamander and a razordon. Then you get the best of both worlds.

It is not a FAQ, it says so directly in their book entry that salamanders can not stand and shoot.

Yea, I goofed. I have been playing them with a stand and shoot for a while now. I hate that I did not know that. From now on they will flee everything that charges them unless it is something squishy.

No, squishy, as in easy to kill. The Handlers are Tasty.
