Scenery/Terrain sub forum

Thinking about painting my scenery and terrain pieces and although my blog gets lots of views as do most blogs as well as personal painting logs, would a separate sub forum for Scenery/terrain be useful, I for one would like a section were I can look at posters scenery without going through page after page of a blog to find it.

I will be painting a Citadel wood, watch tower, and making several Seraphon pieces soon and I would like to do some step by step guides to try and encourage posters to try and have a go.

What do you guys think?

You could sign up for TerraGenesis, a dedicated terrain board. Start a thread for each piece there if you liked.

Maybe I will do that but I would love the option here, I love this forum and I want to try and help this community get more involved with the painting side of the hobby.

Certainly, this is a good idea.

Any suggestions for the name of the sub forum?

Jungle builder
Terrain and Scenery
Can we build it
Build it, paint it
Terrain isn't scary

I'm hopeless!
 
That monuments one has a nice ring to it.
 
I like Monuments to the Old Ones best.

I still wonder if we need a separate forum. I championed the house rule forum and that was pretty small. We archived the old trading forum. We merged the lesser race forums into the discussion and mainline painting forum. If there is demand for a terrain forum, I'm all for it. But a Terrain tag in the painting forum might be better.

Just putting it up for discussion.

A tag under the gallery and personnel paint blogs in the painting forum is what I intended not a separate forum, I just worded it badly :confused:

Monuments to the old Ones is a great title, @The Red Devil do you agree?

While it is a great title, it is one that would work better for a new forum. For a tag it is too long.

I ended up creating a tag with the name "Scenery" for the two painting forums. I believe and hope that will be an explanatory tag.

Great so when will this be live?

Regarding the title I think @n810 has already named his terrain blog with the fore mentioned but if he does not want it I will gladly call my terrain blog "Monuments to the old ones"

RIght now. I went through the first few pages of the painting forum and tagged the threads with obvious scenery based titles. I tagged some other stuff. I can't resist tagging when I visit the paint forums, but with all the pretty pictures I don't progress through the painting forum very quickly.

So are we getting a Scenery tab like the personal paint logs?
 
Very few people are voting or replying in my thread asking for input on changing the tags in the fluff forum.

If participatory democracy fails, your benevolent despot, Scalenex will have to push through his desires on the fluff forum.

Army fluff: Personal army background, storified battle reports, "here's my converted model. This is the model's story."
Discussion: Questions about the WHF, AoS, and other fluff universes in general
Fiction: Short Stories, poems, novellas, and novels.
Gallery: Drawings and comics and text lizards.
Tools (or "Tutorial" or "The craft" or "the process"): Discussion on writing techniques, drawing styles, literary tropes. Probably throw the "How to speak Saurian" and "Aztec name generator" into this one.

Yes, you can write your own tags on threads that you start. For instance, this one has the homemade tags "discussion" "idea" "scenery" and "terrain"
