OOC: Sorry guys, I didn't realize I hadn't said anything for so long. I could have sworn I was checking the thread regularly... huh. Strangeness. After waking up from an extended period of sleep, Eternity Warden realized he had missed a lot of action, including the righteous execution of the Hunted. After apologizing to his shipmates for his extended slumber, Eternity Warden realized that he was required to lay accusations on one of his crewmembers. Not knowing who to suspect, he simply put forth that whoever is the remaining murder most likely was one of the people who voted to kill the Hunted, since Craken voted to kill the Hunted (and had his vote doubled) and the assassin would want to use that ability to assist himself.
"Fine, since we have little clue as to the murderer. My own theory is perhaps a bit circumstansial at best. But it's all we have. Ronan's vote was doubled by someone.I don't know who, or why. But wouldn't an assassain want to take attention of himself as quick as possible? So he doubled his own vote to kill Hunted so he can carryout his foul deeds after letting everyone relax some. So my vote will have to be for Ronan." Lukas looked at Ronan apologetically, "It's nothing personal, but you're the only suspect at the moment." Vote: Craken
((wasn't aware my post doubled? But I do see that written by Stewart.)) "Seems like there is indeed evidence pointing to me, though I'm not sure that the evidance is showing correctly, think some wording may have played against me here. As Eternity_Warden has said. I as well have no leads at the moment so I am in the dark as you all are." Searches his bag for a treat for his pup Solum. "I ask if I am to be murdered for crimes I did not commit, at least give me an honorable death, and look after my dog in my absence."
"That being said in my defense, if I wanted to kill Hunted why would I need to vote if I was the assassin, why wouldn't I have just assassinated him? I wish I had a lead which is why I have yet to vote, but I just hope you all don't vote me off. I helped you rid the ship of one evil crew member, let me help you all find the other."
"Ronan, ok, you've conviced me, FOR NOW, that you're no assassain. So I withdraw my vote. And if you do die, well, I'll adopt the pup."
"hmmm... as we are required to vote..." VOTE: SAURUS WARRIOR "Sorry lad, I know you won't be killed and thus, its pretty much a donkey vote, however, I must admit that your flitting about from one person to the next to be more'n a tad suspicious..."
I'm sorry lads, but I can not bring myself to vote for the death of another at this time. Thus, I will vote for myself, lest new evidence arise so that we might crush the evildooers upon this here craft! Thus, I will vote for myself so that I null my vote." Vote: Revered_Guardian
With no more of a lead than anyone else, Eternity Warden followed Revered Guardian's example and "nullified" his vote on himself. Vote: Eternity Warden
Well, lizardninja has not said much, but has just voted for people. And as the saying goes, "those who do not say know, and those who do not know say." He has not done a lot of talking, so that makes him a little suspicious. Vote: lizardninja
Ok I'm not going to write out the votes today since there is nowhere near a majority. At the end of the day, everyone retires to their quarters unsure what to think. Craken was a big suspect early, but people decided not to go with it. There was an uneasy quiet as the ship sailed on. Craken had decided to sit on the deck and ponder events of the past couple of days. So sure was he of his innocence, he felt relief at being spared from the crew with level heads. Remaining on deck appeared to be a mistake, however. No one noticed the knife in the dark until the sun rose, and Craken's bleeding corpse was found. In a double blow to safety on the ship, it was discovered that Craken was the Knight-Marshal and was doing a fine job protecting those on the ship. The crew decided to finally check on The Lybithian, who had been locked in his room for the last day. His room was empty, and window open. It appears he had abandoned ship and left the others to their fate. A few small potions were hidden in a drawer suggesting he had been a witch-doctor. So there is another murder this night, confirming suspicions that the threat was not entirely dealt with, and numbers further dwindle. Day 5! The Lybithian - Removed for inactivity The Hunted - guilty and executed day 3 Craken - Assassinated day 4 Xlcontiqu hellbreaker - killed by the elements day 2 lizardninja Eternity_Warden crimsontide Revered_Guardian Dreadgrass KroxigorsFTW - assassinated day 2 SaurusWarrior This day should technically finish saturday (my time) so I will make sure it goes at least 4 days from this post. If all votes are in and I have time, I'll wrap it up, otherwise it could go ~5.5 days.
"Well... This is bad. Very bad." Lukas said as he saw Ronan's corpse on deck. The assassain is still loose.
Revered_Guardian slowly lowered his head as he looked down over his deceased friend. "Sleep now ronan. Be at peace. For we shall avenge ye for this unforgivable death that the assassins hast given you." Moving away from the corspe of his comrade. Revered_Guardian adressed the others. "It is time that we kill the assassins that have been plaguing this voyage from the beginning! We must cast all doubts aside and double our efforts! We must not allow another casualty on this ship! Every able man will be needed if any of us are to survive the lands of gold!"
"Bad blood here lads... Bad indeed." Dreadgrass looks around the gathered group. "We've lost both our greatest assets in a single night... Does anyone have any theories as to our assassins identity? I'm still at somewhat of a loss..."
"I am just as lost as you. I do not even know where to begin to start looking. Losing Craken is very, very unfortunate. He was a good man." Xlcontiqu lowered his head. "I am going to head up to the crow's nest quickly. Who knows, maybe there will be some clues there."
