Blog Seraphon A New Start

Well I thought I would give painting Seraphon another shot. I tried painting them before but I was relatively unsuccessful, however a boost of motivation and a new paint scheme has convinced me to get into it!

My first step was to complete this trogolodon next I’m going I got some skinks!

Apologies if this post isn’t organised I am fairly new to this website and this have little experience with how it works!

The skin texture looks really nice so far, and the colour scheme really suits the model.

I popped into my local GW store today and bit the bullet and ordered a bunch of Skinks! i also intend to get some Saurus Warriors later in the week. I spoke to the manager about a paint scheme that i had formed based off what i saw on TWG-A Trial Of Seraphon. If you get the chance i would check the guy out because he painted some really nice Seraphon and it was almost entirely what inspired my Seraphon scheme. Hopefully i'll get both those skinks and Saurus painted up in a couple of weeks just in time to post them here!

Well that’s 20 skinks and 20 Saurus built up, to have another 20 skinks arriving in a couple weeks.

Hopefully I’ll have them painted up soon I’ll post them here and attach the paint scheme for anyone interested!

I decided that a fire realm themed base would look good on the models and just went for it.

I also practiced the original theme I was going for on some models and I didn’t like it (mostly the red stripe) so I ended up getting rid of it and going for some normal Saurus with purple shields.

Ok, that’s my Saurus now done for then most part, I did run out off glue for the shields and stirland battlemire for the bases. However despite my lack of texture paint I’m going to begin work on my 20 skinks and see how they go!

Hiya guys! Got the reminder of my skinks done, they now number at 20. Although they’re not entirely done along with the Saurus as I have to get the bases done and shields stuck on, I also regret rushing my blow pipe skinks as they didn’t turn out as nice as the javelin unit. Have another 20 skinks yet to build or paint so they’re next on the list. I was also considering buying a Slann starmaster along with the chronomatic cogs and Balewind vortex, any thoughts on that combo?

Slann + Cogs and/or Balewind Vortex works well.
Keep in mind though that the Slann can only cast one of the endless spells himself.

I usually cast the Cogs with a nearby Starpriest so the Slann can use it. And then if I have the BWV in the list I cast it with the Slann.

Wow ok thank you, I have to say you’ve got me quite excited for the endless spells now! I do have a starpriest however he’s not finished, another one for the list I suppose! So much to do so little time lmao!
