AoS Seraphon coming to Warhammer Underworlds in Season 4

    i can definitely see that being true. it wouldn't be the first time GW has short changed us like that

    I can't speak for the other warscrolls but my partner has Mollog's Mob and all the minis are treated as being with Mollog, and they're sort of like consumables. You use them or they take a wound for you and they die, until only Mollog himself is left.

    Hrothgorn's trappers is probably the most similar to our warband in that it contains 3 different units and that one has 3 warscrolls

    - Hrothgorn has his own warscroll
    - The grots have their own warscroll, with special rules for individual grots
    - The frostsaber is a regular frostsaber and has its warscroll.

    So I would assume we get 3 warscrolls too. Though I wouldn't be surprised if the minor skinks just re-use the regular skink warscroll in some way.

    Other warbands have 1 or 2 warscrolls, depends on how similar the models are. If the hero isn't too different, like the ork & the first SCE warband you get 1 warscroll. If there's something unique you quickly see them add a warscroll.

    Some of them are super messy though, like the Tzeentch warband, which fits 3 different models in one warscroll (2 arcanites, a tzaangor and a horror, with only the movement, bravery & save value being shared across all 3 models. Wound values, attacks & special rules differ on a model per model basis)

    There's multiple articles in white dwarf where they regular state that that's basicly their workprocess. Someone designs a cool looking model and then they make up rules.

    I had a dream that the Skinks were Skink Chiefs but now I think we'll have a warscroll with the Skinks and another with the Oldblood. I'll use the skinks as Alphas and the Chameleon will be useful on my shelf, since Chameleon skinks don't have alphas.

    However I still see it in a weird combination. If Skinks are on a whole-Gobbapalooza-warscroll, their effective range doesn't make any sense. You have 2 with 16" range, one with 8 and a melee. Starpriest should be good enough to compensate that or they're just Alphas.

    I think will get 3 warscroll into one unit

    Saurus, priest, and the remaining guys.

    Perhaps even a 4th one with the camo one by itself if they decide to give him the same abilities as the camo skinks.

    The weapon difference means nothing here as it’s Essentially a unit of hero/alpha traveling together just look at SCE they all have different weapon with different range and all.

    Actually after rereading this...

    “The Starblood Stalkers are composed of four Skink Hunters, a Saurus Oldblood, and the warband is led by Kixi-Taka, the Skink Priest.”

    It solidifies that it’s going to be 3 warscroll.
    And point wise I’m thinking north of 200 if not 240+, just a regular Priest and oldblood is 180 points and there no way that a regular priest by all mean and the oldblood well perhaps a bit better but doesn’t look much different perhaps the weapon is a little better. And then you have to top that off with the 4 skink hunters!!! Which I can’t wait to see what they’ll have them at!!!

    Meh, I doubt they'l be that expensive. I doubt that both the priest & oldblood will be fullfledged heroes, as no other warband has had that happen. So I expect the oldblood to be a pure beatstick with the best stats in the warband, but for example not have a command ability since that's his role in the warband. While the priest gets to have the cool special (support) abilities, but it being a skink on foot it still has garbage stats. And on top of that a mere 4 skinks are virtually useless as they don't have the stats to do anything, and with only 4 they can't benefit from our synergies effectivly.

    Unless the skinks get far better stats than they have any right to, or we become the first warband with 2 fullfledged heroes for AoS I don't think we'l be anywhere that expensive.

    I love certain parts of the warband, but Kixi-Taka really doesn't do it for me, which isn't helped by the fact I've got more than enough skink priests/shamans on foot, not counting the Skink Chiefs who - unless I keep looking past an entry - are relegated to Skink Alphas or yet more priests.

    Hopefully the AoS rules are interesting though, as overall the sculpts of the warband are suitably interesting.

    I am digging the new art along with it but i didn't realise how small chameleon skinks are. I believe this also triples our name characters with models from 1 to 3.

    it's not that skinks are small saurus are just huge. they stand from 7-8 feet tall

    I believe, somewhere in Fantasy, they told Skinks were about 1.5m and Saurus 2.5m. Krox were about 4m tall.

    It looks like in some of the art, so i doubt its meant to be 1 to 1 real scale for them, the chameleon skink is on a regular skinks back

    aren't skinks supposed to be 1.5m while hunged, and nearly 2m if they'd stand upright? With Saurus being 2-2.5-ish when hunged and 3 upright?

    Skinks sit roughly between 6' common skinks and 7' red crested
    Saurus roughly at 7.5-8.5'
    Krox are 12 feet minimum

    I'm sure Skinks are significantly smaller than humans, that's why they are far weaker in combat
