Severed heads

So I recently got my hands on some temple guards and they came with alot of these sawn up shrunken heads.
I really love the design of them but i'm sort of stuck on how I should páint them, what coulors I should use and so on.

Anyone got any suggestion?

I would paint the skin one of the flesh colors, (Elf, human or dwarf)
and pick out a darker hair color, (dark or medium brown, posibley redish)
and then give the whole thing a wash of delvin brown.

As long as you give them a nice heavy devlan mud wash. They tend to look great.
