Looking good so far, for the legs you could have used goblin wolf rider legs then just swap the feet. They have pants on but that could work to your advantage. Hmmm I have 20 goblin wolf riders!..................
I think it will work with the sawed-off legs. If not I will get back to you. Next step is getting some green stuff (I don't have it since I rarely use it, I will get a small amount from my friend @Mesandres). Project is on hiatus though at the moment, until I have finished the rest of my ST models (I finished the Kairic Acolytes yesterday, pictures in my blog soon) Still not sure about the saddle. Any modelling experts who can give me a hint on how to make those (easy mode please, I am SO not a sculptor).
I'm glad you're figuring this out as I've had both capybara minis and a pile of skinks waiting around for a lull in my backlog for actual ages. At least when I go to do mine I'll be able to follow your progress. Also if you sculpt a saddle on you could embed a magnet in the green stuff and then your skinks are easily removable and also your capybaras won't have big pin holes or ugly magnets sticking out of their backs
Exactly my thoughts. I don't want to mess up the beautiful Capys so I will have to find a solution like that.
Re: saddles :: attaching the Riders. Are the capybaras solid resin or solid plastic? are they hollow?
Solid resin. My plan right now is to attach the saddles using a tiny amount of poster putty, and the riders on the saddle using magnets. The poster putty works great. All my Saurus Cavalry are attached to their mounts that way.
