I'm making my first simple army 1500 points

got a slann, some saurus and a small temple guard unit for the slann to sit in behind the saurus.
things to add ...

a fighting champion to stick in one of the saurus units
salamanders, maybe 2 or 3
now i want some skirmishers so should i take chameleons or normal skinks? and how many? 6?

For most 2000 pts list I run 1-2 units of 5-6 cameleon skins and 1-2 units of 10 man skink skirmishers.

Ailideon has it right on. At 2k points I would take 2 units of chameleons. I do not use skrimishers too much, but his suggestion is good on that front as well.

Ailideon, I play in Frederick Md and work in DC. We are almost neighbors.

Swing down by the Annapolis GW some time.

About the Skink Skirmishers. Over the past few months I have really learned the awsomeness (due to my Ogres) of redirectors, deployment delaying, and that skirmishers are considered stubborn in forests. The units are fantastic when done correctly, 70pts of pure butter.

A maryland thing? I'm in Baltimore and like taking the same thing.

You know, N810 lives in Northern VA, I believe. With as many of us as there is, we should get together some time.

Michigan here. So a bit far for me. Lol. But GamesDay Chicago is only 2 hours away.

Yea, that is unfortunate. It used to be 2 hours from here! I went to the last one here and made out like a bandit. Of course, I couldn't speak for about a week, but hey, it was a blast!

Heh. Canada, eh? North of Montana. I'd agree that at 2k you'd want at least 2 units of blowpipes. Which you get is mostly a matter of points management. Chameleons are better all across the board, but more expensive.
