guys I was thinking of buying a command barge from 40k necrons and cutting off the guns and filling the gaps in with greenstuff. Any1 think that will work?

Using a Necron model to represent Old Ones technology?
That's... controversial :P
(Then again it is very likely that I'll be using bits from a disc of Tzeentch to build my astrolith, so who am I to speak.)

Visually it might work, as long as it is big enough for the slann to comfortably sit on.
 
I have thought of Necron vessels before, more in the range of a Ghost Ark being a Starship(with some massive converting needed)

If no new slann is introduced ill probs do it and make a skink starseer with the slanns normal throne thing (forgot what it's called)

My Slann Mage-priest. Decided to start with the general itself before I get to the block of 20 temple guards. It was very fun to paint but I was quite nervous from time to time while working on it, seeing how I have not been painting miniatures for many years.

I don't think the banner is supposed to be entirely stone.
The coral snake is a nice touch. ( "red on yellow, kills a fellow...")
