Tiny update on my nurgle wardogs. I finally had opportunity to modify some parts laying around and glue subassemblies. Once I have enough motivation, I'll attach heads and I can start painting them.

I scored two second hand speeders! They are assembled worse than T-34 and paintjob is really rought, but they were 5 euros for both and I'll be stripping paint and cutting them (or at least one of them) for base scatter. YAY!

Yay, they were glued by superglue. :D

Also, I love how some people take special care while assembling their models and sand all sprue gates. Here is prime example of masterwork all around the models. :D :D

I had time! Lets tuft them and put them to the rest!
    IMG20240806111840.jpg

I also progressed on nurgle knight. I am at "ready for wash" stage. Which is kinda ironic for Nurgle. :D

Also, I did a thing. There was a summer sale and I had money. I bought unofficial Taunar "mini" from lands far away.

    Ooooh boy!
I found author who makes almost 1:1 infantry models for Tau. So I took my half empty sprue from back when I did Tau kill team for 2018 version and one printed to compare and try out paint scheme (out of 10 versions I tried on spare shoulder pads from fire warrior sprue).

    IMG20240814104754.jpg

Also, I love how easy is to paint them. both took about 15 minutes.
Rest of Pathfinder unit is currently glued and I am waiting for bases to arrive as I run dry.

Also another author is making almost 1:1 drones, So I already have 3 markerlight and 3 gun drones ready and waiting for brass rods to use as flying stands.

Altogether, files AND print cost me about the same as single pathfinder box and now madness begins... but I need some bush to put around that Taunar. :D

After 4 failed (or partially failed) prints during weekend, I now have 20 pathfinders ready, 20 drones in various stages, 10 fire warriors that need new legs and 3 crisis suits that were not supported properly and need new torsos. All will be corrected by single additional bed.

Also, package with Taunar should arrive by the end of the week.

I've considered printing some minis for tabletop use, but the resin for the minis I've done for my D&D table has turned out to be extremely brittle. What resin have you used for your stuff?

Yup, I had to re-check final estimated height to be sure it fits model cabinet. I'll have few mm clearance if I build angle of top cannons right. :D

Not sure right now (I'll edit later), but I think it is basic "Anycubic" grey resin. And you are right, they are brittle. Couple of my minis have seams after field repairs when I dropped them during painting, most recently I managed to snap torch from hand on mini by just drybrushing with soft make up brush. I printed OPR Saurus guard that broke completely when I looked at them wrong. :D
But after some practice I developed an eye and now I can often tell in advance if mini is too "pointy" to be printed.
I can also modify model if needed. For example if there is thin spear, I can remove it from mini in 3D, leaving just bare hand and then print spearhead separately with hole to put brass rod in.
There are also additives for resin to make models flexible. Friend bought it and then sent me a video of him bending spear about 70° before it snapped. But I haven't had any model printed like this physically in hands yet.
