Blog Snows Painting Rambles

Couple of test salamander proxies done and dusted one page rules version I did scale them down to 88% as they needed to fit on the 40mm bases

own several different versions but think I can paint these up nicely with jewel encrusted side plates

feedback is always welcome and tips

Those look great, the size is pretty good!
The heads have somewhat from the khorne hellhounds though (a much seen conversion).

Interested to see how you would paint them.

Grrr, Imrahil

Just faffing around with these I have some sort of plan but do historically struggle with larger models

Those seem like relaxing models and I like your style. If I may, I suggest to use silver color as base under speedpaint where you want metallic finish. For example yellow for gold, orange for bronze, etc...

I bought only spiked lizards and I am currently painting them as salamander as well... My god there are hundreds of small details on them. I am starting to envy you proper salamanders :D

I have done that before silver works really well with the yellows

but think i will drybrush these then wash see how it comes out wanted to keep the starmetal as non metalic as possible ( I could change my mind on this )

can easily sideline something that doesnt work and print some more

thank you for the feedback I do apreciate it nothing worse than being a solitary painter

I like my well drilled professional soldiers to be in sync before a charge it puts the fear of Sigmar into the heathens

I will allow them the liberty to have different heads

after watching the carriage teams at the Norfolk show its an impressive thing to see horses move as one

Doing a rush job on these guys one coat and some varnish ,maybe a drybrush metalic over the metal

to long on them and I might lose the will to live need about 40-50

can always revisit them with some extra detailing at a later date

Thank you Warden I did spend a lot more time on the warts than I have before been trying to up my game for this project

with only 12-16 models it makes a change over the 100 ish dwarfs I just painted
