Slightly different approach here,

Primer= Crystal Blue (Army painter)
Wash= Agrax earthshade
Drybrush= Temple guard blue
Highlight= Skink blue
Glaze= Gulliman blue but watered down 50/50 with retarder
Edge highlight= skink blue with 50% white

For rank and file omit edge highlight.

It is indeed a problem which I tend to overlook with Cavalry. I plan to make a slightly longer magnetised tray for them so I can slightly stagger them so they all fit.

Yeah that's a good point. Would they stick the cold ones closer to one side on the base? The tails are not stuck on separately either. I will make it so It can take 5 per rank. I usually have 8 in my cav so that will give plenty of room to move them about.

No painting today. Just a day of model preparation Tetto'eko, Oxyotl and 6 Cold Ones are ready to go. In the jar of nail polish remover are 6 chamo skinks

That does look really good.. they look fast and sleek. I never really thought of using the OOP saurus riders, but I think you're on to something. They look better than the current ones; they seem to fit better.

The legs sit quite high up on the saddle and the saddle itself isn't shaped to hang on either side of the cold one so it sits just on top. No need to cut away parts of the saddle like you would have to do with the new cold one riders. The riders are not as readily available obviosuly but they show up from time to time on ebay. I just need 1 more to complete my 8 cold one unit.

The nail polish remover reacted quickly to the paint on the chamo skinks too. It however ate away at the plastic bases haha they were all shrivelled and fell off so I would recommend the nail polish remover for metal models It will however melt your plastic models. Photos to follow as they're outside drying.

Just completed an additional 6 Chameleon Skinks and Oxyotl I know I am limited to how many I can play but now I can chop and change what is in the unit.

The front 6 Chamo skinks are the new guys.
